Our Curriculum

 

Our curriculum encompasses every experience that occurs throughout the pre-school session. However, the formal curriculum (for children over three) is arranged under seven headings: personal, social and emotional development; Communication and language; physical; mathematics; literacy; knowledge and understanding of the world and Expressive arts and design. These areas of learning are set by the Department for Education. We follow the early years foundation stage (EYFS) framework.

 

Your child’s progress will be discussed with you throughout their time with Redbourn Pre-School. Each child will have a Learning Journal, which we add to weekly. You are welcome to view this at anytime and the Learning Journal will be given to you when your child leaves for Nursery or School.

In addition, once a term, parents and carers are expected to book an appointment to discuss their childs learning journal and development with their key worker.
